This lot was sourced from a very small vineyard block within the Stags Leap District — one of Napa Valley's most storied and celebrated appellations, famous for Cabernet Sauvignon that combines real power with remarkable elegance. The district's rocky, volcanic palisades and well-drained soils, moderated by afternoon breezes off San Pablo Bay, are often credited with the site's signature style: firm structure wrapped in silky, refined tannins — sometimes described as an iron fist in a velvet glove. The 2022 vintage was finished in-house by winemaker A. Pera: 24 months in French oak, followed by additional time resting in tank before bottling in January 2026. Just 172 cases were produced from this tiny block.
